Case discussion
This is an important case because it;
- is a benign condition that can mimic a malignant condition histologically.
The key features to take away include;
- Bulbous rather than papillary architecture.
- The relatively uniform atypia in the setting of inflammation and oedema.
Extended learning topics
Discuss benign mimics of urothelial carcinoma – both papillary and invasive carcinoma.
Drop me a line or call me at TissuPath if you want to discuss any of these cases further
